Mushroom Gravy Recipe

Ingredients

Mushrooms – 250 gms

Big red onion 1 

Tomato – 1

ginger garlic paste – 1 TBS

salt to taste

chilli powder – 1 TBS

turmeric powder – 1 Tsp

Dhaniya /  corriander Powder – 2 TBS

Gharam Masala – 1 Tsp

Coconut milk – Optional

olive oil – 1 Tbs

Cumin seeds – 1 Tsp

Fennel seeds [ Sounf ]  – 1 Tsp

Curry leaves 5

 Method:

Cleaning…. Wipe with mushroom with a wet cloth and remove all the sand.

In a frying pan, add olive oil and curry leaves, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and fry them.

Add onion and fry until golden brown. 

Add the ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone.

Add chopped tomatoes and add cook for 5 mins with the lid on.

Now add chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder,dhaniya powder and gharam masala. Fry for 2 mins. 

Now add the mushroom and cover the pan with a lid and do not peek for 5 mins. After 5 mins the mushroom would have wilted down and would also have let out all the water.

At this point check for salt and add coconut milk.

Let it cook for another 7 to 10 mins and garnish with corriander leaves.

You can serve it with parota, Chapathi or dosai
