Aval Uppuma / Poha Uppuma Recipe

Poha or Aval [ White or Brown ]
Oil 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Channa Dhaal 1tbs
asafoetida 1 pinch
curry leaves a few
salt to taste
crushed red chilli flakes
Method
Wash, Drain and set aside the Aval or Poha….
In a frying pan / Kadaai pour some oil and add mustard seeds, channa dhaal curry leaves and let them fry for a minute. As soon as the channa dhaal starts to turn golden add the chilli flakes.
Now add the asafoetida and the Poha/ Aval
Let it fry up a little bit and add salt to taste.
You can serve it hot with any chutney or just plain or with sugar
