Sweet coconut puffs
2013-12-02Puff pastry sheets ( store bought, makes life easy )
Unsweetened shredded Coconut – 1 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Tutifruti optional
Oil or cooking spray
Method :
In a heavy sauté pan, dry roast the coconut until it turns golden brown.
Add the sugar and cardamom powder. wait for the sugar to blend ( about 2 mins)
Let it cool.
Thaw the pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
Fill them with the coconut filling.
Cringe the edges with a fork and spray or apply some oil for the best browning.
Bake them at 375 for 10 to 12 mins ( based on your oven temp- until Golden)
Enjoy crispy coconut sweet puff.
